PBCC Properties has been established to support our local church communities across the globe, in the building and maintenance of places of public worship and the acquisition or sale of properties.

Through PBCC Properties we have also standardised maintenance and safety for best practice, and will seek synergies to decrease operating costs.

Our professional team ensures each local church community has access to world-class advice for their property plans. This includes advice on the day-to-day operations of finance, maintenance and safety, and property development services such as planning, design and construction.

The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church works to be a good neighbour at all times when we are both delivering and ultimately using our places of public worship, including with respect to construction times, traffic management, minimising noise and the like.

About the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church

The Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, sometimes incorrectly known as the Exclusive Brethren, is a vibrant Christian community of around 56,000 people who live in communities throughout United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Americas.

Members of the Plymouth Brethren come together to quietly worship and read the bible several times per week in two main types of buildings – small meeting rooms which often look like a suburban house, or halls for all church members in a local area.

In larger cities or areas with larger church populations, we will sometimes build a third, larger type of hall that can accommodate parishioners from around a country or even from around the world.

These meeting rooms and halls are for the Brethren exclusively. They are not opened to other religions nor are they rented out for events or parties to members of the wider community, though from time-to-time car parks in regional areas in particular may be opened up for staging of responses to bushfires, floods or the like.

Plymouth Brethren halls and meeting rooms are low impact compared to other types of churches. We don’t have any amplified music, and our buildings are well insulated. Further, our parishioners tend to travel in families or carpool together, limiting traffic.

This all said, particularly when we are proposing a new meeting room or hall, neighbours and the local community will often have questions about both our planned church hall and our way of life more generally.

Some of the common question about the Plymouth Brethren faith, and in particular about Brethren beliefs, Brethren values and the Brethren way of life such as Brethren dress code and Brethren rules are answered here. Questions about specific halls or proposals can be put to church members or the council in the relevant community.
